El enfrentamiento culmin\u00f3 con el hundimiento del crucero nacionalista Baleares, en el que un torpedo lanzado por el destructor Lepanto hizo estallar el pa\u00f1ol de municiones, con la subsiguiente p\u00e9rdida de casi ochocientos oficiales y marineros de su dotaci\u00f3n.En esta breve narraci\u00f3n de la batalla y posterior hundimiento del crucero, el autor, marinero-artillero del Baleares, hace un relato impresionista y subjetivo del acontecimiento. Como \u00e9l mismo afirma en la presentaci\u00f3n, narra \u00ablo que v\u00ed y o\u00ed\u00bb, sin m\u00e1s pretensi\u00f3n que dar testimonio escrito de sus recuerdos cuando \u00e9stos, a los catorce a\u00f1os del suceso, a\u00fan se manten\u00edan frescos en su memoria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>C. y A.
